One night, I was sitting at the campfire and making my family-favorite Camp Beans with my good friend, Papaw Tom. I jokingly told him that if I ever started a food company, I'd name it after him.
That was in 1994, and my dream was to make Camp Beans. Now, more than 15 years later, I'm turning my passion for cooking into a second career.
As I worked on getting the Camp Bean recipe just right for packaging, I spent more and more time working with sauces and spices, and my passion for cooking grew. Now, I have a full line of uniquely Southern flavors.
When I decided to bring my favorite recipes to the public, I remembered my promise to Papaw Tom, and kept my word.
